This unit was useful to review the lesson structures already discussed in Unit 3, e.g., arrow, boomerang, patchwork etc. These structures are a great support to well organized lessons and the students benefit a lot from a logical lesson structure. This unit also added some information to how and why teach vocabulary and grammar structures (I was most familiar with the Engage phase activities, so Study and Activate phase tips were very useful), I especially appreciated the lesson phases' examples which help to understand better the whole process.In unit 3 I learned about several different methods and techniques which could be used to address the student's learning needs. I felt the task-based learning technique was very interesting and efficient. My students should be able to retain more information on the use of the English language since it is task-based. I also learned about the method developed by Mr. Harmer which is composed of the 3 elements 'ESA'. I have found new games which I can actively engage with my students in and when I should correct my students on their mistakes/errors.
