Unit 19 being centered on the special groups that can be taught helped to get me thinking about what group I would like to work with and specifically how the teaching techniques vary from group to group. After reading through the unit, I came to the conclusion that I would love to teach young leaners/children. As stated in the unit, this would be the most reward path because learning english was not by choice. So taking a group with no knowledge of the english language, helping them to get a grasp of it, engage with the material and enjoy themselves while doing it would make the experience worthwhile for them and myself. Although this path would take a lot more out of me because you have to clearly and slowly pronunicate, repetition is key, make fun of yourself and use more gestures than you would on beginners, etc. It's the best fit for me honestly and I look forward to it.
