This unit covers teaching special groups, from children, beginners, individual students as well as teaching business English to professional workers. In addition, understanding the level of your students if very important and getting feedback from them can benefit both you and your students. I would hope through my teaching career I would be able to teach professionals business English because it would only help them advance their career which I would most likely find very rewarding to be a part of.It's important to understand the different purposes of written and spoken communication. If we can show our students what the purpose of the text they're reading or discussing (or, hopefully, both) then we can teach them strategies that go with that type of text. This way when students are on their own working out English problems they can, hopefully, do a better job of figuring out the right way to use the language --- whether it's in a timed essay or reading comprehension or casual conversation.
