In the first lesson I could very clearly see how the attitude and the body language of the teacher had a direct impact on the students resulting in a lesson that was not effective. In the first video the teacher was not prepared and was unable to answer follow on questions from his students, for example giving the incorrect answer to a student who asked for the difference between can and could. In the second lesson the teacher was completely engaged in the class and teaching. In order to make his students feel comfortable he was smiling and had a very open posture, he introduced himself at the very beginning of the lesson and then went on to ask each of the student's names, asking them to display them too, thus ensuring that he could correctly address his students. These vieos perfectly illustrated the impact the teacher can have on the motivation and results of students.
