This unit is probably one of the most useful ones so far as it gives concrete ideas of lesson plans, the format of a general lesson plan, and advice on how to not have the classroom be too rigid but still have enough activities planned. Before this chapter, it felt like some of the ideas were a bit abstract as we did not yet have any idea of what writing a lesson plan would look like. However, now that I understand the format that the course prefers and the purposes of creating a lesson plan, I feel that I can better put my knowledge to work. Particularly useful, I believe, is the first page of the section which gives the most basic outline of a lesson plan based on what it needs to accomplish. While I'm not sure if I will use the lesson plan format provided, knowing what a successful lesson plan should include is useful and I will definitely come back to this section for help.
