This unit introduced topics of English grammar that can cause some confusion. The chart for modals provides assistance in differentiating the meaning and usage of each. It is interesting to see how modals slightly or greatly modify the meaning of the sentence. It was helpful covering the active and passive voice. I don't think speakers of English put much thought into how these two structures work. This unit helped me see why the passive voice is used.I was pretty much aware of all the verb tenses in english. But this lesson has helped me understand that it is very important to have good knowledge about how to explain all these tenses to students, some teaching tips. It is confusing for most of students to know how to use them, that is why it is important not only to explain about the structure of these tense, but also to focus on how to use them and get enough practice for students to master them.
