As I haven't been exposed to systematic phonology training before, I am glad this challenging unit provides me with a variety of methods to study and to teach pronunciation. Intonation and stress play a significant role in carrying the message in a sentence, with variation to express different meanings. The phonemic alphabet lays the foundation for pronunciation. A thorough study of the phonemic alphabet and frequent pronunciation drills are very necessary to improve pronunciation.I have found that maintaining a balance with the students is equally important for a constructive lesson. The ability to engage with them, grasp their attention, then have their excitement engage with work is important. Coming back to review the work before embarking again is just as equally important. Knowing the difference between error and mistake was extremely interesting as there is a significant difference here. the students mindset and positivity should be kept at all times.
