The two demonstrations allowed me to see the different ways of teaching. And I understood more of the importance of the teacher's attitude in class to be able to produce quality lesson.The students in the first lesson appeared to be reluctant and intimidated because of the superior image of the teacher in class. In contrast, the second lesson showed how the teacher made the students comfortable so they may be able to participate and learn well. Therefore, the role of the teacher should not only include its ability to teach but the passion to help the learners learn and be confident.This unit covered aspects of classroom management: interacting with students, seating arrangement, discipline, teacher talk time, student talk time, grouping students, etc. I think this unit gives a lot of good advice on how to create and maintain an environment in the classroom that is conducive to student learning while also ensuring the teacher and students have a productive relationship. I think a lot of teachers dread having to discipline students, but having certain strategies ready to address student behavior and knowing that colleagues are available for advice is comforting.
