Unit 17 gives a detailed overview on equipment and teaching aids. Nowadays it is almost impossible to create an interesting lesson without using up-to-date equipment (such as OHP or interactive board). Thus a teacher should know how to operate them in order to get more advances. Furthermore, a given list of dictionaries and e-materials has enlarged my own armory, so now I am able to choose the most appropriate source depending on my own or my students? needs. All in all, the content of the unit will definitely improve my lessons.I have learnt a lot in this unit. This unit covered the use of course books and materials, it covered the use of authentic materials in the class and how is it important. Also it highlighted the use of created materials that can use in the class their advantage and disadvantage and some of created materials. It also mentioned using the wipe board, cassettes, CD and resource books in the class. i have benefited this unit when to use the authentic materials and when to use the created materials, and how i can modify the course books.
