Unit 15 addressed different types of exams, their uses and the ways in which they may be useful. As a teacher of English as a foreign language, I may encounter students who are preparing for any of the external exams listed in the unit, and I will certainly use the results from placement and diagnostic tests, as well as administer progress exams within class. I do not know that I will have occasion to be involved with practice exams, but it's good to have information about them.I learned that choosing a teaching career could be very challenging for me and potential problems may arise within the lesson that affect the students learning if the lesson is not carefully thought and prepared . This Unit helped me to know which exercises and tactics I should use in the classroom with different group of students so that my lesson would be fun yet interesting for them. This reminded me as well of the importance of establishing rapport with my future students.
