Unit 20, talks about the different problems teachers may encounter in the classroom. There are two groups of learners. The new group which are usually not familiar with the class and the existing group which already are familiar with the class.
It also looks at the different activities the teacher can use to help meet the needs of the learners. some of these activities are: warmers like tongue twisters, hangman etc.
Other problems teachers face are: the different levels of students, use of native language large classroom etc.This unit focused on teaching new language to students. It covered teaching vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions. In this unit we learnt that it is very important for students to learn grammar, because communication would make no sense without the tools of basic grammar. Important to note is that when teaching grammar to students, a teacher should always keep in mind the appropriateness of what is being taught, the frequency with which it will be used, the teachability of said grammar point, and so forth.
