This unit highlights the equipment and tools that can be used by teachers in the classroom. Many of these tools can facilitate learning and teaching. However this unit needs major revisions as the current trend of accessing the Internet via smartphones and ever cheaper data charges make them rather than computers more useful and convenient teaching aid. Also some of the materials are outdated and need to be removed, such as using cassette recorders, which have long become obsolete.In this Unit we learned about the different equipment and teaching aids that we can use in a classroom. I think that having an equipped classroom is essential as it allows the teacher to save time and it keeps the students engaged as young learners are interested in technology. Showing them pictures,videos or using a camera for a project can be a nice way to encourage shy students to participate as they'll be interested in using the camera and they can analyze their performances.
