I feel like this unit was one of the hardest, thus far. It's complicated to identify in my own first language the differences and reasons between the past perfect, past continuous, and past perfect continuous forms. I realize how important it is to read and to immerse yourself in a language, because these tenses are very difficult to use and (in my opinion) become solidified through practice and listening to others use them correctly. I appreciate this lesson, as it's difficult to even think of teaching. I like that I now have a better understanding myself in order to teach others.This unit covered how to teach special groups, specifically business people, young learners and new learners. I learned that it in't necessary to know anything about business to teach a business English class. I also learned how important it can be to maintain a professional attitude and respect the group dynamic in a workplace. I was familiar with many of the techniques listed to work with children, as I have taught in elementary classrooms before, but the idea to give attention seeking students a specific helpful job is quite imaginative and I can imagine it to be quite helpful.
