This unit provides detailed insight into the various tenses used in English language sentence structure. Specifically, the present simple, present continuous/progressive, present perfect and present perfect continuous tenses. I have learned about the usage, grammatical structure, as well as various teaching ideas implemented in student lessons for each specific tense. The teaching ideas presented in this unit have been paired with the ESA (Engage, Study Activate) teaching methodology, and they seem to be very creative, and I look forward to using them with my students.Pronunciation can affect the quality of a student?s communication in many ways. For one, mispronouncing words can change the meaning of what is being said and cause misunderstanding. It is therefore important for students to understand that correct pronunciation is the key to effective communication. in Japan bad pronunciation seriously affects the confidence of the English learner. They are usually reserved in class because of this. As a result of the learning from this unit, I have taken a number of ideas and practical help that will help me as I continue to teach.
