Grammar is never enough. And you always need to repeat it for us foreigners. Modal verbs are very important, for general communication. Although you need to use a lot of examples and free conversations in class while teaching modals. Passive voice is separate capitol for students... Only the smartest ones could understand it well and use it in speaking with other students. First to teach is basic frame, and then doing exercises is followed.This chapter is the first one that seems to really deeply dive into the management/facilitator side of being a teacher. The pro/con section on the different seating arrangements is helpful and will be a good resource down the road. I also thought that some of the suggestions for building rapport seemed counter-intuitive. I would have assumed that you should try to avoid students correcting each other from a rapport-building point-of-view.
