I learned better the terminology useful for smoother study later in this course. For teaching business English, I don't need to be expert in any business field. I can find important expressions in a textbook glossary. My role is to help students to understand and to be able to communicate using their specific vocabulary. The general communication is using the same principles. I also got some idea of what to expect from teaching in the matter of money.Using a standard textbook can be a useful tool for framing a program but it shouldn't be the only tool. Textbooks provide a tested learning program but unlocking the potential of the students has more to do with engaging them individually or as a unique cultural group versus using an immutable framework designed for a general audience. It is important for a teacher to supplement their lessons with various authentic or created texts to address the gaps.
