I learned in this lesson about the techniques needed to teach groups that taking english classes for very different reasons. With beginners, you want to make the lesson as clear as possible with plenty of pictures and homework. Individual students you have to teach differently in that you can personalize the lessons to meet there specific needs, although a coursebook is very useful as a guide in 1 on 1 lessons. In individual lessons you also need a variety of types and quantity of materials. With beginner children, although there may be more discipline problems, it can be more rewarding in that you can more immediately see the rewards. You are going to want to seem more \"down to earth\" and give more positive reinforcement with the children. With business learners you want to do something different in that you need to know their specific needs and skills before teaching the lesson.
