the importance of ensuring that students need to know when learning English is to be exposed to is, understanding the meaning and how to construct sentences, as well as language functions. This unit provides me a way to use ESA approach methodology while teaching vocabulary, grammar and functions. I now understand how to actually teach the afore-mentioned aspects of language to new learners in an effective manner and the more commonly used approach for vocabulary, grammar, and functions respectively.From this unit, we learnt how to prepare to teach new language. There are a number of factors to effect vocabulary item choosen, such as similarity to students' own languasge,similarity to English words already known, spelling and pronounciation and appropriacy. And also we've reviewed previous lesseons about techniques of teaching, this session telling us expecially on vocabulary and grammar teaching , but the main method of teaching is almost the same, such as ESA methods:engage, study and activate.
