This is a decent unit, I find the material particularly useful as it lists a lot of basics in a very simple, ready-to-use form, and most importantly it has a \"typical mistakes\" section which, in my opinion, is a very good representation of the things I will have to deal with as a teacher in the future. I wish there was some sort of example sheet, showing how to deal with/explain certain mistakes because this issue is discussed in the task sheet but it's not 100% clear how I should form my explanation.This unit was thought provoking in some ways. The disciplinary measures were particularly clear and concise . It presented good ideas for disciplinary problems which may arise. However, in my experience, there are other factors which may present a problem in the classroom setting. For example mental health situations which should be referred to a guidance department professional immediately.
The unit also reminds us to be flexible yet aware of how our demeanor can impact the teaching - learning process.
