This unit focused on reading and listening, of which you don't only use your eyes and ears but also your mind. A lot of reading and understanding is based on a persons knowledge and background, and the meaning of a word or phrase could be different depending on this. Teaching these skills is about getting the students comfortable with gathering information and understanding the different types of reading and listening and when to use each.
