In this unit I have learned about some methods of screening the students knowledge of the language before they start taking a class from me and has given me some resource locations for me to get testing information. I think this is very necessary in order to know where to start with a particular student. I would not want the student to become too bored by starting him or her out on easy things they already know and conversely, I would not like to frustrate and confuse them by stating out on a level that is too advanced for them.Unit 4 discussed the four main Present Tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. In addition, it covered usage, form, and common mistakes students make concerning each tense. In my opinion, this was the most difficult units so far. I read the pdf file several times, and watched the video 3 times, yet I don't feel confident after taking the test. So, basically, I learned that I must revisit this unit until I have a better understanding of the material and the material to come.
