Today i learnt about conditional and reported speech. Firstly i learnt about the five main conditionals and these were; zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. I learnt what the above are and how they are used and why. I was given a typical lesson to teach these afterwards. Next I learnt about reported speech. This consisted of verb tenses and how to change direct speech to reported speech. Lastly i learnt about time expressions.I found this module quite difficult to begin with and had to read through the content a number of times in order to fully understand it. However, the sentence examples given were really useful and the description of each of the past tenses.It also reminded me of the regular and irregular verb forms.
The module also described potential student errors. As a native speaker, it is easy to take grammatical rules for granted, without realising how difficult it can be for a non native speaker.
