The unit generally outlines troubleshooting the common problem situations. I have learned how to clearly identify the class that best suits the group of new learners and developing a rapport with the students. Tackling trouble by being well prepared and introducing warmers to gear the learner towards the main goal of the lesson. Learned how to approach large classes and handling reluctant students and students with difficulties with listening texts.I gained more confidence after completing this unit because I learnt how to teach pronunciation and the way of approaching phonology. In addition, I earned some techniques in teaching pronunciation and some more detailed explanations of phonetic symbols which make the way we pronounce the words correct. Even being able to understand phonetic symbols we are able to have correct pronunciation while communicating. Thus, I dare say it is worth learning.
