This unit is very interesting and important to me as I have been in business for many years. Drawing parallels with students that want to focus on business is very intriguing to me and something that motivates me and I would like to ultimately be my focus. The list of do's and don'ts for teaching children is a very good reference. Since I have limited teaching experience with children, I like to learn on what the best course of actions are to get the most out of the children in the limited time we would have together.Receptive skills such as listening and reading are important skills. It can allow students to learn about vocabulary if done the correct way. In order to engage students, careful selection of texts is important. Concerning texts, not just any text should be randomly selected. Authentic text could help to build confidence in skills, whereas non-authentic text could suit to students' abilities. When text is selected to the students' level, it would be rather easy to conduct an ESA patchwork lesson and students enjoying it.
