This unit covered past tenses. As stated in the beginning it is very similar to the present time, with the difference being that something happened in the past. Generally I did not learn much in this unit, because I have spend a considerable amount of effort on unit 4, covering the present tense (also by looking up additional resources), hence I was able to quickly complete this unit without much trouble. How to explain these tenses to students will be a significant challenge though.This unit is on trouble shooting situations that teachers are likely to encounter in the classroom. Some of the topics discussed are teaching groups at varying skill levels, dealing with a lack of participation and large classes. My favorite piece of topic in this unit is that you must build rapport in the classroom. A teacher should not introduce them self and go straight into a lesson. The teacher must show an interest in their students in order to be as successful as possible.
