It was very useful to have an idea of what is important to teach when teaching new vocabulary or new grammatical structures, and how to do that. I also really liked to learn how to teach a language function in a fun and practical way. It was very interesting to see the difference between what the students need to know and what the teacher knows, because sometimes teachers want to teach everything they know at once, and the students end up learning nothing.In this unit, the focus is on how to teach beginner learners, children, buisness/english, and multilingual classrooms. It is important to be aware of students needs and have clear and realistic aims. Having clear and simple instructions also helps students understand better. It can be important to remember to not over correct students mistakes in order to motivate them to continue challenging themselves. Praise and encouragement also helps motivate students.
