This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This last unit was a good connection to previous units. I have learned the past and present in previous lessons. Now I can start to see how the grammar and context can fit into an ESA lesson plan. It is nice to see some examples. I also feel like the lessons I write now will need to be altered depending on the student needs, school program, and tools provided. There is always an easy way when using a context to be able to alter it to the level of the students. I like that it provided activity ideas for each level of the ESA lesson.Like Unite 4: Present Tenses, this unit was difficult for me as I had to reexamine and review grammar that I had not thought about for years. I tried to remember when I was learning French and needed to learn about past participles and past simple forms. I felt that I appreciated the last task of the unit where we had to compare and explain past tenses with present tenses, it was good to compare those with one another and empathize how students learning English would get confused with that. It was confusing explaining it to myself!
