This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was very complex and included a lot of very important grammar that can often be very confusing, even for native speakers of English. Firstly, it introduced modal auxiliary verbs which are used to express (with varying degrees of strength) the speakers feelings towards the verb. Second, the unit covered active and passive voice, and the usages of each. Lastly, the unit looked into relative clauses (which described the different types of clauses and their usages) as well as phrasal verbs (which consist of a verb plus one or two particles). This unit introduces the subject of evaluating and testing of students? language skills. The unit looks at different ways of evaluating students' levels and progress. It also looks at common external exams that I may need to prepare my students for. Within it we look at the wide variety of tests that can be used before, during and at the end of an English language course.
I have learnt from the many examples of ways of assessing a student's language level i.e, tutorials, peer evaluations and test that are given at different stages of learning.
