Their backgrounds levels of interests, prior knowledge, special needs and learning preferences. It is important for designing instruction that will meet the needs of your students. It is important for an educator to research the subject matter. Having the materials that are available helps in having a well constructed lesson plan. Lastly, it is very important to set goals on each lessons to determine what you expect from your students at the end of the class.
