Overall, the content of this unit looked at the type of classes for teaching special groups. These consisted of beginners, individuals (one to one) young learners (YL's), business English (BE's) and monolingual versus multilingual. Also the unit looked various types of beginners as well.
I learnt about Business English, the types of ways teaching can take place in this setting. Also understanding the \"clients\" in that what they entail, what they need, and the steps to conduct when teaching Business English.In this unit , I have learned a lot about Theories, the 8 Methodologies and some other techniques namely, the Grammar- Methoology, Audio-lingualism, presentation, Practice and Production (PPA), Task-based learning, Communicative Language Training, Silent Way, Suggestopaedia, and the Lexical Approach plus Patchwork and Boomerang lesson plans, etc. I will surely incorporate all the ideas learnt in classes.Awesome! I firmly believe it will facilitate my teaching and will greatly benefit my students in the future.
