This unit covered common problem situations in classes with adults learning English as a foreign language. This unit covered the following areas: first lessons, warmers, classes with different skill levels, large classes, the use of native language, reluctant students, and difficulties with listening tests. This unit described each of the above typical problem areas and it gave very helpful suggestions on how to deal with each of these areas.Unit 6 stresses on the correct usage of the past tenses and highlights the importance of being familiar with the irregular forms of verbs. The simple past describes completed action; past continuous describes action in progress at a past time; past perfect describes a completed action before another past action occurred; and past perfect continuous describes an action or situation that was in progress before some other past action or situation.
