This unit was great. I found the first video effective in demonstrating the pitfalls of a bad teacher. I felt badly for the students because you could tell they just didn?t get the point of the lesson. On the other hand, the second video was just as effective in demonstrating a fun, comfortable environment. The students were laughing and genuinely seemed to enjoy learning, just as much as the teacher seemed to enjoy teaching. In the second video, I found myself smiling along with the class.Teaching English pronunciation is an area of language teaching that many English teachers avoid. I think that pronunciation is one of the controversial part in English language ; and its practical sound depends geographically from which country the teachers or learners belong, most of the time. From that aspect, an American doesn't pronounce some words like a British. I have also learnt that the teachers should create a time for teaching phonology and pronunciation , which are very important.
