This unit goes over pronunciation, intonation, articulation, and phonetics. This unit has a lot of information, in some ways too much. I would probably have gotten more out of this information if it was split into two different units. It is important and very helpful and well laid out, but again, it's a lot all at once and I found myself kind of guessing on the test which I don't like to do. Even after reading through this unit a couple of times. But all in all it is helpful and I will be referring to it often.This unit is about teaching new language points to learners of English. Three main areas are explored separately - teaching new vocabulary, new grammatical structures and new language functions. How to select the new teaching points for a certain level of students and what they need to know about these structures is discussed. At the end of each section it is explained which type of ESA lesson structure would be most appropriate, what activities can be planned for each phase and there is an example lesson plan.
