In unit 9 I have learnt reasons why planning lessons is important, how to create an effective lesson plan and what should I put on it. Unit 9 also covers a sample lesson plan form which I can copy and use it for my own teaching. Sample self-evaluation form is shown as well in order to monitor the quality of my own lessons. Finally the planning of sequence of lessons and different methods of correction were described, as well as I have gained some useful tips and ideas for creating interesting lesson activities.Evaluating and testing English language students is very important to their success. Giving students a placement and/or diagnostic test will help make sure they are placed in the correct language level class. Progress reports are a great way to track students progress through out the class. These tests will also show topics that need to be reviewed. Making sure students are given practice tests in order to prepare for their later external exams will ensure they are familiar with the testing format and material.
