When learning a new language, there are four basic elements to teach. The receptive skills which would include listening and reading would be the first fundamental aspects that students will understand. This is a great opportunity for the teacher to figure out what students are interested in so they ma cater their lesson plans to those interests. The productive skills are writing and talking which will come after the students have understood the first set of skills.I personally enjoyed seeing a well structured lesson plan and how it flows together. Reading about the different functions of a well organized lesson plan helps me better understand how to keep the class fluid and under control, while still feeling as though the tasks for the day are getting completed. Although, personally, I do agree that it shouldn´t be an everyday tool to use. Things happen that you never plan for, so being able to improvise is highly important.
