The unit talks about teaching and teaching aid in the classroom. Many different teaching aids can be used to make lessons more interesting and effective. We have teaching equipment like the board, interactive whiteboards, overheard projectors, videos and cassette recorder, visual aids, worksheets and work cards and dictionary. As we go through the units, we learn how to use these various teaching equipments and also learn how to plan our ESL lessons.This lesson was very difficult for me in that it is something I normally would not think about when teaching or learning a language. I was surprised that I could read the phonetic scripts but I know that I would not do that with students because some students may not be able to understand phonetic script (such as children with special needs). This was a very informative lesson where we learned about voice and phonetics and articulation and intonation.
