This unit is cleverly outlined like the present tense lesson and should be advised to read through with repetition. There is very good reason to cover past perfect continuous because though it is faintly used in most cases, this tense can also be a good building block for students to put together pronouns, adverbs and vocabulary to keep practicing with. However, the trainee should employ extra work on organizing irregular verbs to follow up on the lesson.The unit introduces the receptive and productive skills with focus on the receptive ones. It touches on the sub-skills (like skimming, scanning, detailed and predictive) developed in these skills. It also discussed the reasons why we read or listen. The video included in the unit would be very helpful to teachers as it suggested ways of delivering lessons as well as activities to be applied in teaching these skills and even the flow of the lessons itself.
