During this lesson, we learned about different theories about approaching teaching to non-native speaking students. I feel as it is important for someone to notice what difficulties his/her class is having and teach from a standpoint that would help assist the majority of the student population and then have a few other approaches to have everyone feel as if he/she is positively learning something. As a communication major, I think the \"Communicative Language Teaching\" is highly important, because if one of these students were to interact with a native-English speaker from Australia and then one from South Africa, their cultures and customs would be completely different. If a student accidentally insults the person from South Africa by communicating like they would with an Australian they might embarrass themselves and not want to communicate in English any longer or be discouraged.
