This unit seems to cover grammar that would act as the finishing touches to learning English because it covers grammar and usages that depend heavily on independent thought, not something simple that can be seen, like \"the house is yellow\". The unit starts with modal auxiliary verbs which convey ability, probability, and requests, among others. The suggested activities really give the student a sense of the usage of these verbs, but I can see how they might be confused by students because sometimes the meanings can be very close. The next section of the unit covers passive voice which covers important aspects of language acquisition because it encompasses most signs a person will see because the actor is unknown. The last part of the unit covers independent, dependent, and relative clauses. The unit also puts emphasis on the importance of using or not using commas in relative clauses.
