This unit was quite informative in several ways, this unit went into depth how how certain sounds are made (as well as the vocal organs responsible), it introduced what parts of a word/sentence are stressed, finally; it taught what those parenthesized pronunciations in the dictionary actually sound like. This unit really helped me understand how we came up with our sounds and our language, as well as why certain cultures may struggle with certain words.In this module, I learned that TEFL teachers work with 12 tenses in English. Though linguists will argue that the future is not a tense in English, we still treat future time reference as such. In this module, I learned about the four present tenses. I learned how they are formed, under what conditions they are used, and games that I can use to teach them to the students. I also learned about the common errors that students make with each present tense.
