This unit reviews the usage of present tense in the English Language. There are four aspects to this tense: simple, continuous, perfect, perfect continuous. Each has its function and needs to be used appropriately to describe actions given the time and circumstances. Compared to other languages that only has one or three tenses, this can be confusing to students. The teacher has to have a good strategy to predict and correct the mistakes that the students might make.This unit discussed the conditional form of grammar. It introduced the zero, first, second, third, and mixed conditional tenses, giving the form and usage for each. Multiple teaching ideas for the conditional tense were then given. The unit then shifted to talking about reported and direct speech. Different verb tenses and changes in pronouns were discussed, as well as teaching ideas to help students understand ti better. I found this unit to be extremely confusing.
