Unit 7 reviewed teaching new vocabulary, new grammatical structures, and language functions, as well as what is relevant to teach students in each of these areas, and a few examples for different types of ESA lessons. I learned from Unit 7 how to gauge what should be taught, for example the vocabulary a teacher chooses to teach may depend on how appropriate it would be to the students or the task, how frequently it is used, and how easy it is to understand.Not only does the right teaching material depend on the level of English of the students but also on their cultural backround and their age sometimes even on their gender.
Therefore good material has to be chosen thoroughly with having all these factors in mind. You will never find a course book which fits 100% to your needs. It is always a compromise and even if you use a good course book be prepared to supplement with your own material to make it perfect.
