In this unit we learned about modal auxiliary verbs, their usages, and teaching strategies and activities for each type. We learned about active and passive voice and how to change the object of an active verb to the subject of a passive verb. We also learned about relative clauses and the various types of independent, dependent and relative clauses.The last section covered phrasal verbs, and the three main types inseparable, transitive inseparable, and intransitive.This unit thought me a lot about productive skills and how important they are. It showed me how the way you write can directly affect your students and the way they view you. This demonstrated that it is important to write clearly and have an impeccable grammar to show a good example to your students and make them have faith in your teaching skills. It also provided me with ways to encourage my future students to speak up in class and get more involved in the lesson.
