There are a wide range of teaching aids to make lesson's more interesting and effective for students. Teaching aids are things used in the classroom to aid teaching and training. They fall into two main categories: visual aids such as overheads; and interactive tools such as a video programme or resource pack. It is good to bear in mind that too much material and too many different themes can serve to confuse the class. It is best to stick to a few techniques and perhaps, follow one theme, example of case study.This final unit highlights a number of common problems which a new or even an experienced teacher may face. These problems are generally associated with a class of students at different learning levels, large classes, students using their native language in class, and reluctant students. Whilst the unit provides tips and advice on how to address the problems, it also provides guidance on how to prevent a potential problem from initially occurring, therefore adopting a 'prevention is better than a cure' approach.
