This unit again goes back to the grammar lesson. It talks about modal auxiliary verbs which add more meaning to the main verb. The addition of these modal verb does not change the meaning of a sentence; however, it adds formality, intensity and certainty to the main verbs. Also, passive voice and the purpose of using passive voice as oppose to active voice is brought up in the lesson. Defining and non-defining relative clauses are distinguished by the use of commas and have a slightly difference in meaning. Finally, it mentions the types of phrasal verbs and its usages.The content of this unit reviews the importance of lesson planning for teachers and students in order to achieve the desired goals of each. It provides great examples of lesson plans, complete with activities structural details as well as suggestions of important information to keep on record in each lesson planning sheet so as to be able to follow up on objectives, achievements, and problems that may arise as well as the particulars of each group like level and number of students. I found these examples very helpful and will be implementing this type of record keeping.
