This unit focuses mainly on the basic grammar structure of English, it's forms and it's components. It also deepens the topic of the parts of speech that are: nouns, adjectives, verbs, articles, prepositions, conjunctions and adverbs, providing also an insight on the irregularities that characterize this language. This is a very important introductory unit because every teacher needs to have a deep knowledge of the language's grammar to face successfully students of different levels.For me, this unit is crucial to understand to be able to command a room full of students when put in that situation. It helps immensely to have learned some methodology to the game; I had not known how dependent the rapport in my classroom would be on the way the seats and desks are arranged. Also, to understand the individual needs of each student and how each classroom will thrive under a different dynamic or several (group work, pair work, individual work) is very important to me.
