Well, in this unit I got to see an example teaching lesson. It shows topics that we learned that we shouldn't do. It showed an extreme on one side and a side that is not so extreme. Where the teacher is doing a lot of things that I have learned while teaching it is not okay to do. Like sitting down in a chair and reading while students are working. Also, in the second video the teachers attitude seemed better. It changed the whole mood of the class. Therefore, the teacher can really effect the students ability to learn a lot or to not learn much.This unit again, offers good advice on how to conduct oneself as a teacher and leader of the classroom. The teacher must set the example, treat students equally, fairly and firm but with respect. In order to maintain attention and control the teacher must establish rapport. This can be done by communicating clearly and in a way that demands respect. The teacher should take care not to embarrass any students, to know every students name and to involve all students to encourage efficient use of teacher talk time and maximization of student talk time.
