Unit 20 was very helpful by giving solutions to potential problems teachers may face. Some tips that I thought were insightful were not using the text book the first day, use warmer exercises in order to get the class excited about learning, and use role play to get reluctant students involved. Also, some students with different levels of english may present a problem, but the solution of pairing them with different levels is very effective. The unit is about past tense and the different ways you can structure a sentence in the past tense. I learnt that past tense as similar to the present tense, has simple present tenses, regular verbs as well as irregular verbs which cannot simply be added with 'ed' at the end of the word.
There is past simple, past continous, and past perfect continous. Each of them have different usages which you need to consider before applying in a sentence.
