Unit 3 encourages the student to understand the main topics around course development, such as the types of tests, assessments and evaluations we should be aware of (level tests, needs analysis, placement, progress, among others). It further explores on the syllabus design theories and therefore the types of syllabus we can encounter and/or design. We can see in this unit as well, the main types of international evaluations that are available in the market and we have access to websites that offer more information about them. For me, the most important information in this unit is related to all sorts of evaluations and tests. These may become at points entangling and overwhelming. Whenever necessary, the teacher may find a lot of online materials that could facilitate a bit his job and simultaneously provide students with quality-tested materials to account for their progress, level, etc.
