This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The simple past tense is used to talk about a completed action in a time before now. The simple past is the basic form of past tense in English. The time of the action can be in the recent past or the distant past and action duration is not important. The past continuous describes actions or events in a time before now, which began in the past and is still going on at the time of speaking. In other words, it expresses an unfinished or incomplete action in the past. The PAST PERFECT TENSE indicates that an action was completed (finished or \"perfected\") at some point in the past before something else happened. This tense is formed with the past tense form of \"to have\" (HAD) plus the past participle of the verb (which can be either regular or irregular in form). We use the Past Perfect Continuous to show that something started in the past and continued up until another time in the past.
